Tootbus · Brussels Central Station

The bus, then The View

One or two days on the Tootbus routes, including the line out to the Atomium and Mini-Europe, plus a ride on The View, the big wheel at Place Poelaert. Pick it if you want the city overview and one high view without paying for the Atomium.

Hop-On Hop-Off Bus & Ferris Wheel Combo

About this experience

This is the Tootbus ticket with a wheel ride added. The buses are electric open-top double-deckers on the Central route (6 stops, every 30 to 40 minutes, 10:00 to 17:00) and the Mini Europe & Atomium route (from Central Station, every two hours, last departure 16:00). The View is a 55-metre Ferris wheel on Place Poelaert by the Courthouse, open daily from 11:00 to 22:00 per the listing, and the Poelaert stop on the Central route is right beside it.

Value is the real question. At about $33 this is a few dollars more than the bus alone, and the wheel on its own costs EUR 10 for an adult on Tootbus's site. The ride is short: the listing says about ten minutes, and one guest timed three turns at around five. It is a nice evening add-on after Heysel; it is not a reason to skip the Atomium's top sphere.

Mini-Europe and the Atomium are not included. Reviews average 4.0 from about 125 guests, with the usual hop-on hop-off complaints: hard-to-find stops at the station and waits between buses. The listing marks it as unsuitable for wheelchair users.

  • Hop-on hop-off for one or two days on both routes
  • A ride on The View, 55 metres over Place Poelaert
  • Audio guides in 11 languages
  • Tootwalk self-guided walking tours in the app
  • The wheel runs until 22:00, after the bus has stopped

Tips before you book

  • Leave the wheel for the evening. It opens at 11:00 and runs to 22:00, long after the last bus.
  • Check the Heysel timetable first; that route sets the shape of your day.
  • The Central Station stop can be hard to find, guests report. Look for it on rue Cardinal Mercier.
  • Download the Tootbus app for live bus tracking.
